Make a card Monday!

Happy Monday everyone! Today I have a card to share with you for MACM. I'm kind of loving these portholes (just in case that wasn't obvious from my previous card)
So I just received a new order from SSS which included Paper Smooches Nauticool stamps and coordinating dies so I went to work! Combing both the Nauticool and the Briny Blue stamps I created this adorable little card.
Both Simon Says Stamp and Paper Smooches have Anything Goes challenges up this week so this little guy is going to be splashing along in those challenges. I encourage you to join in the fun as well because the winner for either challenge gets fabulously spoiled :D

I couldn't find any of my wood grain cardstock, but I wasn't about to let that stop me! I pulled out my Hero Arts woodgrain background stamp and created my own using versamark and white embossing powder. and I really like how it turned out.
I, of course, still did not have acetate so I just cut a circle from some plastic packaging that I was no longer using for my porthole window.

The only gold brads I had were way too large for what I wanted so instead I took some pastel yellow ones, coated them in versamark and gold embossing powder and vwalla! Pretty gold brads and everyone is none the wiser ;)
I stamped the dolphin onto a scrap of Neenah cardstock, copic colored him and masked him off.  Then taking my round blending tool I added in the water using some distress ink.
I attached the small scrap to the hole behind the woodgrain stamped cardstock. I decided to add some natural twine from Lawn Fawn to add to the nautical look. I pierced a hole above and below the circle hole and threaded it into the top and bottom.
Once my twine was secure I attached the porthole using some foam adhesive.
The little anchor and life preserver provided the perfect little accents.
I stamped my sentiment from the AmyR Oh So Beachy sentiments onto a scrap of white cardstock, cut a tail end and lightly sponged the edges using the same ink from the water.
Then I used more foam adhesive and attached the woodgrain piece to the blue Bazzill card base, stamped another sentiment inside the card using the same stamp set, and that finishes the card for today.
