 Woohoo it's Friday! This week kind of flew by for me it seems. 

There are two challenges this week that I've kind of blended together.

The first is Paper Smooches June Picture Perfect challenge. 

Here is the inspiration picture...

And the second challenge I combined that picture with is from MFT Sketch challenge 180

 Both challenges caught my attention so I went to work creating something that would blend the two together and this is what I came up with.

Super adorable unicorn from Paper Smooches! I just love how this turned out.

I created the notebook paper look using Neenah cardstock and a notebook border die.

For the sentiment cloud I stamped the cloud from the set, cut it out and used the backside of the paper to stamp the sentiment on.

I used Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the rainbow mane and tail, although it's hard to pick up on camera just how shimmery it is.  

The kraft color cardstock really helps this pop right off the page. I originally planned to use a white card base but I felt it was just too much white on white for me.

For the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment and rainbow from the same set using MFT hybrid inks in Black Licorice and Kraft.

Make a card Monday!

Good Monday morning everyone! Today I reverted back to my current fixation with windows/portholes. This time it's space theme!

 Isn't that little alien just the cutest?! The Paper Smooches Space Cadet set comes with the most perfect sentiments, I just love them!

 I used clear acetate I had left over from packaging to make the window. For some reason it tends to make my camera angry and comes out slightly blurry. You can see the stars in the background that I used a stencil and VersaMark ink with silver embossing powder on. Now I'm thinking I should have done them in gold. What do you think, silver or gold stars?

For the inside of the card I stamped the little rocket and copic colored it and glued it to the inside of the card next to the sentiment.  I'm on a boy/masculine card kick lately. I've been trying to push myself to create more cards that I don't typically make. 

It's a challenge for me, but a fun one.

MFT Card Sketch 179

Well hello everyone! Looks like it's going to be a rainy Saturday over here so I'll be taking advantage of some extra crafty time. Today I'll be playing along in the My Favorite things sketch challenge.

This is actually the first MFT challenge I think I have ever entered so I'm pretty excited about it.

And here is my card inspired by this awesome sketch...

 I played with my new Paper Smooches stamps and dies, but also tried to keep it simple and not too overwhelming.

 This little bird was just too cute not to use so I put him where the button is on the sketch. I think he just fits perfectly perched watching the waves.

The inside of the card I just stamped a sentiment and added the waves to the end.

I'm a little disappointed with this part as I believe I could have made it cleaner but I already had the entire front adhered so I didn't want to waste all of that effort.
